The part of Christine Daa, the titular opera ghost’s favored soprano, was written for Lloyd Webber’s then-wife, Sarah Brightman, with the role of the Phantom going to tenor Michael Crawford. Nicholas also scored the 2021 feature film The Last Bus, which starred Timothy Spall and Phyllis Logan and was directed by Gillies McKinnon.
